The Psionflexi Story!

I have had a Psion series 5mx for years and it basically runs my life for me! I was very annoyed when the screen became intermittent and then eventually failed on me. I looked on the web and found that I was not the only one that loved my Psion and had the same screen fault! (incidentally the flexi can also give failures of the backlight and touch screen). I decided that it was about time that someone did something about it!

I am an Chartered Electronic Engineer working in the defence electronics industry. We use flexi circuits all the time in the products we develop. Flexi circuits are incredibly reliable if designed correctly and used in the right circumstances (they obviously have to be being used in defence!). Unfortunately there are two major issues with the Psion flexi design that let it down! I have redesigned these circuits and used my industry contacts to remove these design flaws and manufacture new flexi's (unlike some of the flexi's you will see for sale that are second hand!). This means that I can now offer superior flexi cables to everyone else who loves (or loved when it worked!) their Psion!!

Full instructions on how to change the cable yourself, if required, are provided on this web site. You will need to be quite proficient with a small tipped soldering iron to perform this though! If in doubt then it might be best to let me do it! I have done quite a few so have got quite good! I can also supply spare backup battery's for a small extra charge.
